What happened
Meta paused the Muse sharing feature after security researchers reported that public conversation links could be easily discovered.
Researchers at Claroc found that Muse web addresses for shared conversations were generated from the conversation title and were written into public DNS, making them searchable.
Meta’s David Singleton said the underlying issue with Muse artifact URLs is now fixed and sharing is back on; artifacts shared before the fix now have new URLs, and old links display a note directing users to obtain the new link from the sharer.

This could mean that users who previously received a Muse link need to request an updated URL from the original sharer to continue accessing the conversation.
The fix reduces the risk that anyone could locate a shared conversation by searching public DNS, suggesting improved privacy for users of Meta’s AI chat product.
