What happened
Wyze released a new version of its Ultra BodyScan smart scale called the Ultra BodyScan Plus, moving the 4.3‑inch customizable color screen to a retractable handle so the display sits at eye level.
The scale is priced at $149 and is available through Wyze’s online store in black or white, about $30 higher than the prior Ultra BodyScan model that cost $119.98.
It now measures over 50 body composition metrics, a jump from the 13 metrics offered by the earlier version, using bioelectrical impedance analysis with a conductive indium tin oxide coated glass surface that works regardless of foot placement.
Data can sync to Apple Health, Google Health and Android Health Connect via Bluetooth or directly through Wi‑Fi cloud, and the device does not require a subscription fee.
The scale can store health metrics for up to eight registered users and unlimited guest measurements, and includes a mode for weighing children, pets and luggage without advanced health metrics.
AIBeat analysis
This could make detailed health tracking more accessible for households that need to monitor several people, since the device supports multiple users, guest entries and a simple weight‑only mode, all without ongoing fees; the expanded metric set and higher price suggest Wyze is positioning the scale as a more comprehensive health hub for families and fitness enthusiasts.
