What happened

Xbox has secured exclusive streaming rights for Grand Theft Auto VI, meaning that at launch in November only Xbox Cloud Gaming will be able to stream the title.

Microsoft has not disclosed how long the exclusivity will last, and it will impose streaming hour limits of 15 hours for Game Pass Ultimate, 10 for Premium and 5 for Essential subscribers starting in November. A pay‑as‑you‑go option for Xbox Cloud Gaming is also planned for the following month.

AIBeat analysis

This could restrict players on competing platforms from accessing the game via cloud until the exclusivity ends, potentially influencing subscription choices for gamers who prioritize early access to high‑profile releases.
